2025 Word of the Year: MAGIC

While I haven't heard of people doing it this year, I would often hear of people picking a word to be part of their mantra for the year and always thought I would do it. Well I am doing it this year (yes, I know it is late January but better late than never, the important part is getting things done).

This year I am determined to be more proactive and positive, to look for and appreciate and expect the good, rather than just scrambling to deal with the bad things that happen. 

In that spirit, I chose the word "magic." As if by magic, good things will happen. I will be prepared for and expecting good things. This thinking is a bit of a change for me and it will be interesting to see where concentrating on this word for the year will take me. 

Of course, I had to add a crafting element to focusing on this word. You can see the first of what likely will be a few projects below.

I cut the word out on my Cricut, using the offset feature to have multiple layers and used a new paper pad with a lovely color coordination. The cut out is going to be placed in my room. Hoping that seeing it often will allow me remember that there is good "working as if it is magic" out there for me.
