For that person in your life that is a dragon, that needs to be reminded that this is their year or really anyone who needs a little pep talk from the powerful Mushu. This card was made with cardstock by cutting and using the Cricut pen tool to write the inner and outer sentiments and then layering everything on top of a 6 by 6 inch square top fold card.
I made the base card by cutting a 12 by 12 piece of cardstock in half with a paper trimmer and folding that half in half to create the 6 by 6 card. The fold really could be either top of side folding but I thought top fold would work better for this.
For Mushu and all the card layers I used my trusty Cricut Maker, I found the image in Cricut Design Space and then modified the image to only have the top half of Mushu in the card.
In putting together Mushu, to streamline the process (and because I accidentally deleted the back layer when modifying the image), Mushu is paper pieced directly on the black background paper, which was then glued on to the red background and then glued to the card. The sentiment was also attached to the top of the black background paper.
For the inside, I cut a 5.5 x 5.5 square with the message written using the Cricut pen and glued it inside the card and ta da! The card is done!
Do you like to send cards to pep up your friends?

* In case you are wondering about the envelope, because it was a 6 by 6 inch card, I made a custom envelope using my trusty we r memory keepers (now we r makers) 123 punch board and it came out as great as always.
