It takes lots of little pieces but it comes together to make a pretty cute card

As Halloween is coming up, it is time to start making cards for a few special little ones to send them some Halloween treats. For the first card I made, I decided to try some paper piecing. This card featuring Pooh Bear and Piglet took a little bit to make and put all the pieces together but it was worth it for a cute card. I made the layout for the card so that Pooh and Piglet would be on a square with the banner and the Happy Halloween message and then placed it on a pre-cut 6 x 6 card.

This was all done with images available from Cricut. A few tips to make creating a paper piecing  projects easier: make sure that your settings are right for the correct weight of your paper, make sure you have all your colors lined up and ready to go, in case your blade is dull, have an extra blade on hand to make sure that all the cuts are great and the pieces are easy to work with. I made this card larger than the usual cards that I make so that the individual pieces would not be too small. Keep in mind that if you are going to mail the card a larger card may cost more to mail.

Have you tried any paper piecing projects lately?
