Celebrating International Scrapbook Day by making a card

National Scrapbook Day is usually celebrated the first Saturday of May. In 2022, it was celebrated as International Scrapbook Day and as part of the celebration I joined in a cardmaking class over Instagram. The fun class was full of people from all over the world as one of my favorite craft designers, Obed Marshall, demonstrated techniques and tips to make a special card.

Obed is a wonderful creative crafter from Spain. He has a created a few different collections for American Crafts which feature bright, happy, and colorful imagery. His creations are extra special for me as they are bilingual, just like me!

Since it was so close to Mother's Day, I thought to make the card for my mom.

He taught us a technique to make this multiple fold card and some tricks for pockets and decorations. The card has pockets and hidden tags which made for a lovely fun card that showcased my Astro-nomically handsome pup to make my mom smile.  I used papers and embellishments from some of Obed's collections and love how this card came out.

The card came out adorable and my mom loved it!

The class was a great way to celebrate Inter-National Scrapbook Day. Have you ever participated in any crafting classes on Instragram?
