It has been while - with good and bad and ups and downs.

It has been a quite a long while since I have been on here...in that time some things have been great and some things have been terrible.

Work has been keeping me busy and I have been trying to work in creativity as often as I could, life has thrown in a few wrenches but I am doing my best to get by. Without getting too personal, one element of these hard times was an integral part of Scrapbook Saturday. For a part of the last year my furry little love, and the official pup of Scrapbook Saturday, fought the good fight but ultimately could not fight anymore and had to leave us.

For any of you that has ever had a dog that was your little fur baby you will understand the huge void that this leaves in your heart. When he got sick, for months, we spent as much quality time together as we could, sitting out together, trying to work in power naps together, sharing the special meals that I made for him, and often waking up at all hours of the night to take him out because his tummy was not working as well as it should be. Up to his last morning, no matter how weak he was, my little boy would smile at me and try to get me to smile.

God had lent me a little angel to care for and it was eventually time for him to go home.

It is hard to be home sometimes and I miss his sniffing around of approval to many of my creative projects. However, we need to carry on. When I was doing something creative, he knew that I was happy and would gladly sit around observing, napping, and just keeping me company. Even though he is not physically here anymore, I will always have his smile in my heart.
